Issue #303 - KHJ iron man and original “Boss Jock” Johnny Williams appropriately makes the cover of the final survey to be called the “Boss 30.” Williams entertained KHJ listeners six-hours-a-day for nine years, the longest tenure of any jock during the station’s fifteen-year Top 40 run.

I've mentioned in a comment from an earlier year that I would listen to Johnny Williams with a transistor radio under my pillow (and yes, I was staying up late even at ages 10, 11, 12 ...). I liked that he'd often play the long versions of songs like "Light My Fire" and "Time Has Come Today."
