At age 12, I thought the echoing opening of "(I Know) I'm Losing You" was SO cool. "Your love is fading (fading, fading fadi...), I feel it fade (fade, fade, fade ...).
That is a cool opening. I still love their rendition of the song. I think the single version is much more effective than the 10+ minute LP version (a la "Get Ready").
I remember getting Rare Earth's "Ecology" album late that year just to get the long version of that song, and I was greatly disappointed. They were truly a singles band.
