Issue #404 - Vicki Lawrence’s “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” soars from No. 13 to No. 1 on the survey. This was the second-highest jump to No. 1 in the Top 40 era of KHJ. Back in 1965 the Supremes’ “I Hear A Symphony” went from No. 15 to No. 1.
