While the “Boss Radio” era is the primary focus of this site, KHJ continued to be a formidable station well past the end of “Boss Radio.” I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the air talent of KHJ that entertained Angelenos up through the end of the Top 40 format in 1980.
To that end, if a deejay made the cover of the KHJ survey you will see them here. They will be presented in the chronological order of the surveys and not necessarily the order in which they were first heard. This is because a lot of the later surveys have issues (e.g. poor picture or contrast) and I’ve had to pick and choose surveys that will display the best.
