Issue #290 - After spending the previous two weeks at No. 6, “Stoney End” by Barbra Streisand leaps into the No. 1 spot and sends “One Less Bell to Answer” packing.

Perry Como is the featured artist on the inside of the survey. He became the oldest solo artist to make the survey in the Boss Radio era when he charted “And I Love You So” in 1973 at age 61.

At age 12, I had no idea what Van Morrison was singing about in "Blue Money." "The photographer smiles, take a break for a while ... take five, honey" and "we'll go out and spend your blue money." But I liked the record anyway. Years later, the light bulb went on over my head. I'm sure I wasn't alone among KHJ listeners in not knowing the context at the time.
