What I want to know is...who was talking on 930 AM that morning, while every last manjack of the KHJ team
rode that float?
I'm guessing it was whoever was on weekend duty at that time -- Bill Wade? He probably drew the short straw while the weekday regulars rode the float.
Only one new song on the survey this week. That will slowly start to get more common.
The photo on Charlie Tuna's site shows all eight Boss Jocks. Assuming there wasn't any public service programming since it wasn't on a Sunday morning, a guess would be that some pre-recorded deal was running.
The next time there was only one new song on the survey came in October 1972. And then it happened twice in four weeks. Then we get to February 13, 1973. After 397 consecutive surveys with at least one new song, there were none on Issue No. 398.
