KHJ Boss 30 - March 27, 1968

Issue #143 - The Delfonics can’t catch a break with “La-La Means I Love You” at No. 2. For the second consecutive week a song has leaped over it to No. 1. Last week it was “Young Girl” by the Union Gap and this week it's “Cry Like a Baby” by the Box Tops.

At long last "Love is Blue" makes its final appearance. Twelve weeks at this point in time on KHJ was amazing.

"Alone Again Or" is one of the great forgotten classics. The group Love sounds nothing like "My Little Red Book" or "7 and 7 Is" here. It's got those guitar notes at the start of each verse, the orchestra, the beautiful harmonies, and cryptic lyrics.

Survey erratum: "Your Heart Is Free Just Like The Wind" by Vikki Carr says (29) for last week's position. It should have been (25).
