Just one new record on the Thirty, but oh, what a record. I go back and forth which Spinners single is my favorite -- "I'll Be Around" or "It's a Shame." But the groove of the former just sticks in your head.
"Popcorn" by Hot Butter peaks at No. 5 this week. That was one of my favorite records of 1972. I loved the synthesizer sound that was relatively unique at the time.
And it was aptly named. I can just picture the popcorn popping.
