I always got a kick out of KHJ listing the Santana album as "The New Santana Album."
"American Pie" debuts. I can't remember if KHJ played just side 1 of the single (the first three verses), the full album version (six verses) or something else (maybe three of the fast verses). Anyone recall?
Steve:
KHJ played mostly side 1 of the single, but on occasion would play the full LP version.

I believe you are right about that. I seem to remember from time to time, KHJ would play the entire song on the weekends. They did this on other "long" songs as well. (i.e. The Doors, "Light My Fire", etc.)
