And for as big a hit as "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face" was, it was a 3-year-old album cut, rescued by Clint Eastwood, who featured it in "Play Misty For Me."
The song goes back even further...it was written in 1962 and originally recorded by the Kingston Trio (as an slbum cut).
