The first baseball season in which I became an everyday Dodgers fan was 1969, and Willie Davis had a 31-game hitting streak that year. That made him one of my favorites, too. Nickname was Three Dog. He had this great herky-jerk motion in the batter's box when he took practice swings.
The B side "Copper Kettle" has now supplanted "Wigwam" on the chart.
"Overture From Tommy" was one of my favorite instrumentals from those years. I even liked it better than the Who's own version.
The singles of "25 or 6 to 4" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" were edited from the long album versions, but my memory is that KHJ occasionally played the long version of the latter. I know I heard it somewhere back then, and I didn't have the album.

I know KHJ (and KFRC) occasionally played the long version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" as an oldie...but I'm not sure they ever did it while it was on the chart.
I was fortunate enough to attend the last game of Willie Davis' hitting streak in 1969. It almost ended at 30 games. The Dodgers were ahead late in the game and Davis, who had been hitless, didn't look like he'd get another at-bat. The Mets came back to tie the game (I believe in the top of the ninth). Davis came thru in the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off double. Great drama and excitement.
My memory is hazy on this, but I also think that in one of the last week's games of the streak, Davis didn't start the game but Walter Alston sent him up to pinch-hit. And Davis delivered.
