"Ma Belle Amie" is another favorite of mine from this period. The Tee Set were the second of the "Dutch Invasion" groups to hit the U.S. -- the Shocking Blue was first and the George Baker Selection was third.

Will you be posting the Big 93 for 1969?

I don't have a Big 93 for 1969. Did they do one? They'd usually tout it on the Boss 30 but there's no mention of it in 1969. I've got the folder from the 1970 version. In 1971 they did something called "The Sounds of '71" but I've never seen any giveaway type of thing associated with it. And I have the thing they gave away for the 1972 version but we won't make it to the end of 1972...

"Ma Belle Amie" was one of my favorites as well. It's interesting how some of these groups put out a great song and then were never heard from again.

KHJ did not play a Big 93 for 1969 at year-end. Instead, they counted down the top 100 songs of the 1960's. They did finally play the Top 100 songs of 1969 three years later in the Spring of 1973, when they counted down the Top 100 songs of 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972 over 1 weekend.

Thanks for clearing that up, Dave. I used to have one of those Top 100 of the 1960's posters around here someplace but I'll be darned if I know where it is now. I'll post it if it ever turns up.

1969 really broke with two fine KHJ traditions -- no Top 300 and apparently no Big 93. That explains why I don't have a copy of one for that year -- I do have the 1970 and 1972 Big 93 lists. And I remember that weekend that Dave notes, with the Top 100 songs of each of those previous five years.
